This scholarship is presented in memory of Heather Spears. She was born and raised in Fayetteville, attending Root Elementary, Woodland Junior High and then Fayetteville High School. She was known for her beautiful spirit, fun-loving
nature and being an all – around great student.

Heather was active in youth sports, playing softball, basketball and soccer. She
was on the Woodland Cheer squad and the All Star Dance Team. She was also a member of the FHS Dance Team and was fortunate enough to win All Star honors at camp.

Heather also excelled in the classroom. She was on the honor roll and active in service learning. She loved helping people and especially taking care of children. Heather had many friends and family who loved and still love her.

The Heather Spears Scholarship is a way to honor her memory and provide assistance to a deserving Fayetteville High School Senior who embodies the qualities and spirit of Heather.
