We are pleased to announce the beginning of a new grant cycle and a new opportunity to partner with the Women’s Foundation of Montana. We are proud of more than fifteen years of improving the ability of women to lead economically prosperous lives and creating brighter futures for girls.
The Women’s Foundation of Montana is most interested in projects that directly improve the ability of women and girls to become more economically successful.
Grant recipients must be a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Grant funds may support current programs or test new ideas and methods. WFM gives preference to programs that show innovation, collaboration, and tangible, measurable results. In addition, we are particularly interested in projects that are statewide or regional in nature, rather than projects that serve only one community.
We have three focus areas for our grantmaking:
1. Ensure All Women Have the Tools, Skills and Opportunity to Reach Their Full Economic Potential
o Career and entrepreneurship programs
o STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) programs
o Financial literacy programs
o Training and resources to increase women's employability and earnings
2. Create Systemic Change to Improve the Economic Status of Women
o Advocate for public policies that improve the economic status of women
o Conduct research in support of policy change that improves the economic status of women
3. Advance Women’s Leadership and Power
o Increase political participation of women
o Increase women’s leadership skills
WFM grants range in size up to $10,000 per year.
