To support the cost of travel and expenses up to $1,500 for Psi Chi students and faculty to present research posters or papers at a psychology or psychology related convention that is not funded by the Psi Chi Regional Travel Grants (EPA, MPA, RMPA, SEPA, SWPA, and WPA).
Annually $34,500 is available for this program. $18,000 is available in the winter round, with $4,500 (3 grants) earmarked for faculty and $16,500 is available in the summer round, with $4,500 (3 grants) earmarked for faculty. One faculty grant will be earmarked for internationally based faculty. Selections from eligible applications will be made by random number generator until all of the available funds are distributed. Beginning in May 2017, one $1,500 travel grant per year will be earmarked for a graduate between baccalaureate degree (no more than 24 months since graduation) and graduate school or in a post doctoral program.

Applications will be deemed eligible dependent on the following:
•Proof of acceptance to present at the conference;
•Applicant meets eligibility requirements (eligibility will be determined by awards and grants staff); and
• Sufficient level of detail in budget
NO Psi Chi reviewers will be used in this program. Final selection from eligible applicants will be made by random drawing until all of the available funds are distributed.
At the time of submission, the applicant must be a:
•Psi Chi member enrolled as a graduate or undergraduate student when project was conducted;
•Psi Chi member who is not enrolled but has graduated from their undergraduate program within 6 months of the program deadline; or
•Psi Chi faculty member
The applicant must be presenting at the convention, though need not be the first author of the presentation.
Acceptable travel may occur before or after the grant deadline, however; travel must occur within fiscal year 2016-17 (July 1, 2016- June 30th, 2017).
Applicants may only receive one unrestricted travel grant per fiscal year beginning July 1st 2016 through June 30th 2017. Applicants not funded in a previous round may resubmit for a later funding round that is within the same fiscal year.
