Jean Mermoud Mrasek has an extraordinary history of service to Chi Omega and the fraternal community. Her service spans from a collegiate officer, national consultant, chapter advisor, National Panhellenic Conference Delegate, Fraternity National President to National Panhellenic Conference Chairman. This remarkable service is inspiring for all.
Chi Omega Fraternity established this fund to honor Jean’s service as the 2013-2015 Chairman of the National Panhellenic Conference and her tremendous love of learning, serving and strengthening the NPC community through support of emerging student leaders.

The Jean Mermoud Mrasek Scholarship for Panhellenic Leadership and Excellence was set up to support delegates going to the National Panhellenic Conference College Panhellenic Academy. The scholarship can include support of conference registration, travel and incidental expenses and can be made directly to the leadership development program.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

a. A Chi Omega collegiate member in good standing
b. Who displays leadership or high involvement in campus activities
c. Who displays a strong sense of Sisterhood and inter-fraternal spirit
d. Who has shown outstanding commitment to her fraternity
e. Who exemplifies the qualities set forth in the Chi Omega Symphony
f. Who has high standards of personnel
g. Who will be serving in a leadership position on your local Panhellenic council for the upcoming year.

*Please note that ALL required materials (including recommendation letters) MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE by the application deadline. Paper copies will not be accepted.

It is the applicant's responsibility to do the following:
1. Complete registration for the Panhellenic Academy prior to submitting the scholarship application.
2. Give recommenders ample time to submit letters.
3. Follow up with recommenders to ensure they understand the process for a successful submission.
4. Follow directions. Points will be deducted for not following directions.
5. Submit a complete application.

An application cannot be submitted successfully without ALL required materials. Applications lacking recommendation letters will be in pending status. Pending and incomplete applications will not be considered.
