2017 Paul Szymanski Spirit Award for Toledo Junior Golf Association

Deadline: June 11 2017 at 11:59 PM EDT (Midnight) - CLOSED

This program is inactive or past the deadline.

The Paul Szymanski Spirit Award was created to recognize Paul Szymanski for his many years of service to the Toledo Junior Golf Association (TJGA), not only as a board member but for his past leadership as President. This honor recognizes the boy or girl who may have overcome or dealt with an obstacle in their life, yet embodies the love of life and the game of golf as Paul Szymanski did for so many years. The applicant must be an incoming high school senior or graduating high school senior and a current member of the TJGA. The recipient of the award will receive a one-time, non-renewable scholarship which will be paid directly to the post-secondary institution of the student’s choice for the purposes of covering education-related expenses such as tuition, books, on-campus room and board, and related fees.

1. U.S. citizen;
2. Current member of the TJGA;
3. Planning to enroll at an accredited two or four year post-secondary institution (including colleges or universities, technical colleges or trade schools) to start in the Fall of upcoming academic year or the following year.
4. Active participant in at least four (4) TJGA-sanctioned events during the calendar year. (To clarify, applicant must be signed up for at least four events; not played in four events at time of application.)
