To provide a minimum of one annual scholarship (for tuition assistance) to a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year undergraduate or graduate student from northwest Ohio/southeast Michigan who is attending an accredited school of higher education in northwest Ohio/southeast Michigan. Student must be majoring in a field of study leading to a career in the estate planning profession. Recipient may re-apply for scholarship funds toward completion of their studies (first degree after receipt of scholarship) and will be considered for renewal if he/she maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA and full-time status. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
The criteria used for selection of scholarship recipients includes the following:
a. Primary residence in northwest Ohio/southeast Michigan and attending school in same geographic area;
b. 2nd, 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student or graduate student with intentions of pursuing a career in the estate planning profession;
c. Financial need;
d. Scholastic aptitude (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher); and
e. Individual motivation, ability and potential.
