For 30 years, the law firm has honored the academic achievement and community involvement of area students through the Davenport Evans Scholarship. The firm awards scholarships each year to eight students totaling $20,000. Application criteria are as follows:
Be graduating seniors of public or private high schools in Brookings, Lake, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, Moody, or Turner counties.
Have high academic achievement as demonstrated by cumulative GPA, class rank, and ACT score.
Attend an accredited public or private four-year college or university in South Dakota.
Be involved in school and community activities.
Demonstrate a desire to pursue and meet educational goals.
* Applicants are ineligible for this scholarship if they are the children, spouse, or immediate family members of a DEHS partner, an employee of the firm who is a licensed attorney, or any other employee of the firm who holds a management position.
