A $2,000 grant is available to each town in Connecticut Community Foundation’s 21-town area to conduct a Town Conversation on Aging, a public forum to discuss the resources and challenges facing older adults in the community.
The goals of the conversation are to:
- Review the town’s assets as an aging-friendly community
- Identify priority needs and gaps
- Develop key action steps for the next two to three years
The grant may be used to cover direct costs associated with the conversation and/or to support implementation of any of the action steps. After three years, towns are eligible to re-apply for another Town Conversation on Aging grant.
We will ask you to complete a questionnaire after holding your conversation. Review the Town Conversation on Aging Questionnaire before completing your application.
