Bill Ginder was curious and engaged, throughout his life, in a wide range of pursuits: reading, reciting literature to his family, music, tennis and gardening. As a child of the Great Depression, he started working as a young boy delivering the “Camas Post.” Highly conscious of the value of a dollar, he invested his money well and taught his children to appreciate the value of hard work. Always, he was proud of the Clark County and Camas heritage he and his wife, Margaret, shared which stretched back six generations.
Bill established this scholarship to help students without personal or family resources as long as they show academic or vocational potential and, especially, if they share his interest in economics or history.
Scholarship recipients must:
--be a graduating senior from Camas High School
--continue their education at an accredited college, university, technical or career school during the upcoming school year.
Preference will be given to students intending to pursue a degree in Economics or History.
Renewal applicants must submit an abbreviated application each year, document adequate progress toward a degree, remain in good academic standing at their school, and have continuing financial need.
