The Cameron and Virginia Dye Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for graduates of Arlington Public Schools to pursue degree-producing courses of study at accredited U.S. universities. Cameron and Virginia Dye were long-time Arlington residents with a shared commitment to making a positive difference for young people. The Dye family established the scholarship to help promising students in need of financial assistance to go to college. The scholarship recognizes community service, school activities, financial need and academic achievement.
Three scholarships of $8,000 each will be awarded in 2017. This scholarship is non-renewable.
The scholarship is administered by the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia.
Applicants must be graduating seniors of Arlington Public High Schools. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents.
The selection committee will consider the following:
- Service to the community.
- School and community activities.
- Financial need.
- Scholastic achievement (must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5)
