The Rose Koury Scholarship was established to recognize outstanding Northern Virginia high school seniors who plan to enter the field of early childhood or elementary education. The scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate strength of character and dedication to improving the lives of others through a career in education. The Ashworth Grogan Scholarship will recognize either graduating high school seniors or students at Northern Virginia Community College who plan to pursue a career in education. The scholarships will make significant contributions to the education of students who might otherwise have difficulty paying for college.

The Rose Koury Scholarship will provide $5,000 per year for up to four years of undergraduate education for a total award of $20,000. Renewal depends on the student's academic good standing, continued full time enrollment at an accredited college or university and on the student's enrollment in a major course of study related to early childhood or elementary education.

The Ashworth Grogan Scholarship will provide $5,000 for one year (nonrenewable) to a graduating senior or a current Northern Virginia Community College student who plans to pursue a career in education. Funds may be used to transfer to a four year college or university.
