SNA celebrates members who work every day to ensure well-nourished students across the country are prepared for success!
The Manager of the Year Award, in Honor of Louise Sublette, recognizes school nutrition managers for the contributions they have made throughout their school nutrition career.
Nominations for the Manager of the Year Award are due online by March 1, 2018.*
*For California: the deadline is September 2, 2017.
*For Michigan: the deadline is September 1, 2017.
*For Pennsylvania: the deadline is February 1, 2018.
*For Virginia: the deadline is February 1, 2018.
*For Mississippi: the deadline is February 1, 2018.
Manager of the Year Award winners will be recognized at the SNA Awards Ceremony at SNA’s Annual National Conference each year. Award winners will receive the prizes below:
•State winners will receive a certificate and ribbon.
•Regional winners will receive a pin, certificate, and $50.
•National winners will receive a plaque and an all-expense paid trip to ANC, up to $1,000. Expenses include ANC registration, airfare, ground transportation, and lodging.
The nominee MUST:
•Be an active SNA member in the Foodservice/Nutrition Manager/Head Cook/Assistant Manager section
•Currently hold a SNA Certificate in School Nutrition or the SNS Credential
•Currently be employed as a school nutrition/ kitchen manager in a school or central kitchen
The nominee CANNOT be:
•Employed as a supervisor on a system-wide basis
•A current state or national SNA president
•A previous national winner of the Manager of the Year Award, in Honor of Louise Sublette OR previous national winner of the Louise Sublette Award of Excellence in School Nutrition
Self-nominations are not accepted. Nominations must be typed, and answers must not exceed the listed word counts
