In honor of David Tremaine, Principal of Hayfield Secondary School 2010-2014
At least one (1) $2500 scholarship will be awarded to Hayfield Secondary School students who have demonstrated participation and involvement in community service opportunities and given back to their communities. In addition, consideration will be given to students who have overcome adversity in the pursuit of a post-secondary education. Applicants must have attained a minimum grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Although financial need is not a requirement, it is highly suggested that a Student Aid Report (SAR) be included for consideration.
May be renewable for four years with the attainment of a 2.0 or higher grade point average and a letter describing any challenges overcome during the year and community service opportunities served at the discretion of the donor.
The mission of College Access Fairfax scholarships is to fill the gap between a student’s financial need and the amount of financial aid offered by the college. Students who are awarded full financial aid (free grants that cover tuition, room, and board) will not be awarded a CAF scholarship, because their financial need has been met.
