To provide annual scholarship(s) to students pursuing a course of study in music (at the undergraduate level), with an emphasis on jazz studies. Scholarship recipients may re-apply for additional years of undergraduate study and will be considered for renewal if they maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA and demonstrate progress in their musical abilities. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
1. Resident of northwest Ohio or southeast Michigan (preference given to residents of the Greater Toledo area).
2. Graduating senior or a young musician with a high school diploma who has achieved a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale) by the end of his/her last semester of instruction (at the high school or college level).
3. Majoring in/planning to major in music at a college, university or school of music accredited by one or more of the accrediting bodies belonging to the “Council on Post Secondary Accreditation.”
4. Instrumentalist who can demonstrate the talent, interest and ability needed to pursue the study of jazz.
5. Financial need.
6. Performance CD.
