Application Category 2: Application for Small to Mid-sized Groups or Collectives

The Spokane Arts Grant Awards, known as SAGA, enables a thriving arts economy.
Grant funding financially supports arts and culture projects and programs, as well as individual artists, who meet the Spokane community’s needs

The 2017 grant cycle has four rounds, and this is the final round.
Deadline: October 20, 2017
Only one grant winner will be awarded
Only one grant amount will be awarded: $10,000
The grant winner is announced on the evening of Saturday, November 4th at the annual Spokane Arts Awards
The funding period is for one year from Nov 2017-2018 (projects must take place during this time period)
Grant reports on completed projects are due Nov 2018
SAGA grants are non-renewable.


You must be offering projects, or working in a way that directly impacts and benefits the Spokane region.
You will be required to submit a budget and a detailed narrative that explains how you intend to use the $10,000 in grant money to benefit Spokane, and why this grant money is important to your group's success.

Only one application total may be submitted per organization or collective during each funding round.

Small or Mid-sized organizations whose operating budgets are smaller than $500K per fiscal year are not required to have a 501(c)3 status.

The following groups or organizations are NOT eligible to apply for funding:
• Organizations that exclusively raise funds for government agencies (including schools)
• Organizations or groups that require participation in religious services and/or education as a condition of receiving services
• Organizations or groups that have discriminatory policies and/or practices on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex/gender, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion, sexual orientation, genetic information or political beliefs.
