Alpha Phi Foundation advances women's lives through the power of philanthropy. We do this by raising and awarding funds for programs that further leadership development, encourage academic excellence, improve women's heart health, support sisters in need, preserve heritage, and educate about the value of philanthropy.
Since 1946, Alpha Phi has focused on heart health as its philanthropic priority. As a women's organization, Alpha Phi Foundation places special emphasis on women's heart health. In 1993, Alpha Phi Foundation designed an annual grant – the Heart to Heart Grant – to encourage research and education to lessen the impact of heart disease in women. Since the inception of this grant, the Foundation has invested $1 million into women’s heart health initiatives.
Each year the Foundation accepts nominations for its Heart to Heart Grant. Collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters and individual members can submit nominations for organizations within their own communities. Nonprofit organizations can also self-nominate.

How is the grant recipient selected?
