The purpose of the DeVilbiss Alumni Scholarship Fund is to provide one-time, post-secondary educational scholarships to graduating high school students who are lineal descendants of DeVilbiss High School (Toledo, OH) graduates.
A lineal descendant is a person who is in direct line to an ancestor, such as a child, grandchild, great-grandchild and on forever.
An individual applying for the scholarship must demonstrate his/her intention to be a full-time undergraduate student at one of the following accredited post-secondary institutions: Bowling Green State University, Lourdes University, Owens Community College or The University of Toledo.
Preference will be given to graduating high school students who reside in Lucas or Wood counties (in Ohio) at the time of application for the scholarship.
There will be one scholarship awarded annually.
1. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen;
2. Average to above average academic achievement, as demonstrated by applicant’s GPA and college entrance test scores; and
3. Involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities (i.e., athletic, musical, artistic, academic, etc.) and/or paid employment, during high school years.
