In memory of departed classmates and in celebration of achievements of the Moline High School Class of 1965, we, as our Legacy, hereby establish a Scholarship/Betterment program for selected MHS graduates who seek to better themselves and to contribute to society.
-Applicant must be a current graduate of Moline High School, Moline, Illinois.
-$1,000 Scholarship will be awarded in 2018.
-Applicant must have maintained and provide proof of a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale during the first seven (7) semesters of high school.
-Must complete essay on "How do you intend to become self-sufficient and contribute to society?" Maximum 200 words.
-The amount of awards and number of awards to be granted will be determined annually by the Selection Advisory Committee. The funds will be paid directly to the educational institution. Students must enroll on a full-time basis. (Full-time basis means carrying at least 12 semester hours.)
-Submit 2 letters of reference and transcript.
-Applicant must have been involved in at least one service-oriented activity or organization in his or her school, community or place of worship.
-Only completed applications will be considered.
