2018: Dolores A. Hulse-DiIulio Scholarship Fund

Deadline: March 16 2018 at 11:59 PM CDT (Midnight)

Description

Dolores A. Hulse-DiIulio was a chemistry teacher at Moline High School for 36 years. She retired in 1994.

Dolores was born and raised in Danville, Illinois where she graduated from Danville High School in 1953. She then graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1958 with a major in Chemistry and minors in Math and Physics. When Moline High School opened its new building in the fall of 1958, Dolores was one of the first new teachers. As she always said, "I came to Moline with the new building." She also worked on her masters degree at the University of Illinois.

Being a strong Moline fan, she was Pep Club sponsor, conducted bus trips and helped in the building of many science club floats.

She had always wanted females to believe that the field of science was for them not just for men! She hopes this scholarship may help female students with this endeavor and encourage them in their goals.

Remember..."A Problem Once Solved is Simple!"
