The Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation, Inc. offers the opportunity to make charitable gifts restricted for use towards a specific chapter through the Chapter Endowment Fund program. Donations restricted to a chapter endowments funds may be used for educational programs, including scholarships and leadership education grants. Leadership education grants may support participation in Sigma Tau Gamma sponsored national programs or in recognized inter-fraternal leadership training meetings and courses. Programs currently approved for support include the regional interfraternity conferences (AFVL, NGLA, & SEIFC) and comprehensive Greek leadership courses (UIFI, LeaderShape, & Futures Quest). Consideration may be given to grant requests for alternative programs. If you are seeking a grant to enroll in a program that is not pre-approved, please submit supportive documentation including the program sponsor, objectives, curriculum, and faculty.
Grants made from Chapter Endowment funds are subject to the terms, restrictions, and conditions of the restricted fund agreement governing the fund and the Foundation's policies then in effect. They may not cumulatively exceed the spendable fund balance.
Grants will be applied as a reimbursement of program registration fees. Grants can not be used for travel or incidental expenses during the program.
To ensure that all registered attendees meet the attendance and participation expectations, funds from the Chapter Endowment will be applied to the chapters registration fees in OmegaFi following the program. Please note that grant dollars will be forfeited if registered attendees do not show up for the program or leave early. The chapter will then be expected to meet all financial obligations associated with the conference.
Applications for a Sigma Tau Gamma sponsored program must be received in advance of the program. Applications for all other programs must be received no later than 60 days following an approved program. Decisions regarding whether to award grant requests, including grants for pre-approved programs, and the amount thereof, shall be in the sole discretion of the Foundation's Grant Committee or Board of Trustees. Applicants should not incur expenses in reliance on receipt of grant funds unless and until written approval is provided by the Foundation. Decisions of the Grant Committee are final.
