Connecticut Community Foundation awards many college scholarships, primarily for students pursuing undergraduate degrees at accredited colleges. This form enables you to apply to most of these scholarships using one common application.
This application form is for NEW scholarship applicants to Connecticut Community Foundation. If you have already received a general scholarship from Connecticut Community Foundation and wish to renew it for the upcoming school year, please use the General Form for Renewals .
Scholarship applications are evaluated by volunteer reviewers and awarded on a competitive basis with consideration given to academic record, extracurricular activities, work experience, financial need, recommendation letter and essay. Final decisions are made by the Board of Trustees of the Connecticut Community Foundation. Students who are relatives of Connecticut Community Foundation trustees, scholarship reviewers or staff members are ineligible to apply for scholarships.
Announcements of final awards will be made in early June. Scholarship awards are typically in the $2,000 range and are payable to the schools that students plan to attend. Most (but not all) scholarship awards are renewable for up to four years, provided that students continue to meet eligibility requirements.
