2023 The Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program

Description

The Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation ("Foundation") will provide scholarship grants to a limited number of the children of employees of Cleveland-Cliffs, or of an affiliate or a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cleveland-Cliffs (collectively, "Cliffs'.

Requirements

• Be employed by Cliffs on a full-time basis with at least one year of continuous service as of March 15, 2023. 
• Dependents of Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. employees with the title of Vice President, trustee, or an officer of the Foundation are not eligible to participate in this program.

• Student must be a son or daughter of an eligible employee (including a stepchild, an adoptive child or a child who does not reside with an eligible employee but is a dependent of an eligible employee for federal income tax purposes).
• Student must be a senior graduating from high school for the first time in 2023.
• Intend to enroll full-time at an accredited two or  four-year college or university in the U.S. or Canada.
• Students ineligible during their final year of high school due to the inability of the parent to satisfy the length of service criteria to qualify as an eligible employee are able to apply the following year, per program guidelines.
• Students entering a U.S. Military Academy, participating in a R.O.T.C. Scholarship Program or receiving a full scholarship from another source are NOT eligible to compete for this scholarship.

Payments:

Scholarship payments are made directly to the college or university starting August.  The full amount of the scholarship will be sent in the fall semester.
