2012-13 APS Society Convention Research Awards

To recognize the best research papers and posters submitted by graduate and undergraduate Psi Chi students at APS.

Students are invited to submit paper and poster proposals for presentation at the Annual Convention of the Association for Psychological Science (APS).

2 Graduate students awarded $500
2 Undergraduate students awarded $300

1.The first author of each proposal must be a student Psi Chi member.
2. Each proposal must include an APS member as a sponsor.
3. Submitters can be first author on only one poster proposal application to this award.
4. Proposals submitted for possible presentation at other professional meetings are not acceptable for the APS Convention. Submit an application for acceptance into the regular APS poster session and then submit the same application here in order to be considered for an award. Award winners must present their research at the APS Convention in order to receive the award.


1. Submissions must be an electronic document written in English conforming strictly to the instructions in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).
2. The text of the submission should be in 12-point font (double-spaced).
3. Poor spelling and grammar will penalize otherwise sound submissions. Faculty sponsors are encouraged to review submissions prior to entry.
4. All proposals must be masked, with any identifying information only on the proposal cover sheet. Your Psi Chi member ID number will serve as a unique identifier for your submission.
5. Only research that has been completed by the time of proposal submission will be considered for review.
